Hamada Esmaiel (IEEE M’18) received a B.S. (Hons.) degree in Electrical Engineering and an M.Sc. degree in Wireless Communications from South Valley University, Egypt, in 2005 and 2010, respectively, and a Ph.D. degree in Communication Engineering from the University of Tasmania, Australia, 2015. In 2011, he was a Researcher Assistant at the Wireless Communication Laboratory, at Wonkwang University, Iksan, South Korea. He was an Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering with the Electrical Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, Aswan University, Egypt, from December 2015 to December 2020 and a Visiting Scholar with the University of The Ryukyus, Nishihara, Japan, from December 2018 to July 2019. He was an Assistant Research Fellow with the Department of Information and Communication, School of Informatics, Xiamen University, China from September 2019 to March 2022. He was the director and the founder of the Communication Research Center at Aswan University, Egypt from August 2021 to March 2024. Currently, he is an Associate Professor with the Electrical Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, Aswan University, Egypt. He seconded to work as an Assistant Professor at A'sharqiyah University in Oman from March 2024 till present. His research interests include 5G cellular networks, Li-Fi technology, millimeter-wave transmissions, underwater communication, and multiple-input and multiple-output systems.
Dr. Esmaiel is the guest editor for the Sensors journal Special Issue “Underwater Wireless Communications” and Wireless Communications and Mobile Computing journal Special Issue “Underwater Wireless Communications and Networks”. He was the General Co-Chair of the 2018 IEEE International Symposium on Wireless Communication. He is a Technical Committee Member of many international conferences and a reviewer of many international conferences, journals, and transactions.
