Al-Mutanabbi Basic Education School
Al-Mutanabbi Basic Education School for Boys (10–12) in Ibra, North Al Sharqiyah Governorate, is one of the oldest and most prestigious schools in Oman. It was founded in 1977 and is a member of UNESCO's network of schools.
The school has a long and distinguished history. In its early days, it was like a university, serving students from all over the governorate. It also played a role in military training, with students being sent to the desert battalion at Ahmed bin Said Camp in Ibra.
The school has been led by many experienced administrators and teachers from Oman and around the world. It continues to be a source of pride for the people of North Al Sharqiyah and the country as a whole.
